Here it comes again. You can almost hear the annoying tent music playing, see the clowns juggling and running around like bafoons and smell the popcorn that’s been sitting out too long and is served with sugary butter melted on top. Blah! Screw the circus. The Ringling Bros Barnum and Baily Circus is just another venue to witness animal cruelty in action, folks, Don’t be fooled by their sleazy antics to attract spectators. Sure, the circus is fun for kids. I get it. I really do. However, that doesn’t excuse the fact that in order to “perform” their tricks, animals suffer from torturous abuse. Do you really think elephants enjoy doing tricks for screaming kids? Hell no! They do stupid tricks for humans because they were tortured if they didn’t in the many, many practices before the show. Poor elephants. They should be roaming the plains of Africa or cruising around Asia all, “What’s up? I’m an elephant and I’m loving my life not doing tricks for humans.”
Think about it. Really, really think about how, by you going to the circus, you are supporting animal cruelty. Go to Cirque Du Soleil instead and watch non-tortured humans do tricks for humans.
